Happy New Year!

Well, it has been quite some time since I've posted, so probably lots to update you on! Christmas has come and gone and although it was great spending time with family, it was a different Christmas to say the least. Normally we spend Christmas Eve at my parents. We go to church with my Grandma, then open presents from siblings and Mom and Dad. However, this year, we went to Dekalb to Josh and Shelly's because Shelly had been placed on bed rest due to early contractions. It was great to be able to spend time with them and Shelly's family. Christmas Day was out of the ordinary as well. Mike's Grandma had been placed in the hospital, so we volunteered to host Christmas at our house! Pam and Vince did most of the cooking and did a GREAT job. I love ham! :) We weren't able to see all of Mike's family, but had a good time with the ones who were able to make it! The day after Christmas we traveled to Mom and Dad's for Christmas with Mom's side of the family, and they also threw me a mini baby shower because they weren't going to be able to make my shower at the end of January. We got a lot of nice, cute presents! :)

I was almost 29 weeks in the picture above. :)

New Years Eve was spent at Luke and Sarah's where we had dinner, played Scattergories, and just enjoyed time together. Who knew a game could be so funny?

All of last week - I went with Dad to Blake's Plano Holiday Tournament. They were seeded 16/16 but ended up 13th. However, the best news is that out of the 189 sophomore players in the tournament, Blake was the highest scorer!! What an accomplishment! I enjoy getting to go to Blake's sporting events, so hopefully those will continue once he goes to college!

Today marks a big day! We're in the single digits!! 9 more weeks till my due date! It's so hard to believe she's going to be here so quickly! The nursery is all painted and we plan to put up the new trim/chair rail in the next week. Then we'll be able to buy our furniture and start putting everything away and organizing! We go to the doctor on Wednesday for our 3D ultrasound. We're so excited to 'see' our daughter! We have our 'lamaze' class next weekend, then we plan to go to Chicago for dinner and a night away in a hotel for the last time till Madison gets here. Then the following weekends after that are baby showers! =)

We're so grateful to have such an amazing family and great friends. We're anxiously awaiting the biggest moment in 2011 and can't wait till she arrives!
